Back In The Blogosphere

Somehow, in the midst of all the chaos surrounding the recent birth of our second beautiful daughter A. (hooray!) I have managed to read six books. Six books in the past eight weeks! Granted, none have been difficult reads

In case you were wondering what this is all about...

A few years back (2003? 2004?) I found myself in the extraordinary position of having read every work of fiction that had been recommended to me by family and friends (a 'collection' of 50 or so books. Baby steps, people).

My literary journey thus impeded, I turned to that answerer of all questions...Google. Several hours later, I was armed with thousands of titles of books across all genres, which I consolidated into my mammoth Book List - a mammoth labour in and of itself. I felt a new sense of purpose, as if these books would somehow broaden my perspective, excite and challenge me, and move me (she scoffs). Some did. Some do.

In the intervening years, titles have been removed and others added by like-minded bibliophiles. Should you feel inclined, please feel free to recommend a volume or two, or just add your thoughts to the reviews.
